The Gilmore Girls project season one is complete. I went pretty literal with the clothing choices for season one. I already had pieces that were very similar, but I did buy some specifically for the season. Everything I bought is assumed from Thredup unless I specify otherwise. I've included side by side pictures of me and the outfit from the show for those who aren't as familiar or don't want to search for my inspiration. The classic Lorelai hot mess look
I bought the tie dye pink shirt on a whim and the shorts are my summer staple (the only pair that fit me post second baby).
The oversized Rory sweater
I bought the sweater two sizes too big and it still wasn't as big as I wanted. I'll probably be reselling it.
Rory's first Friday Night Dinner look
I had the skirt from years ago, I bought it secondhand. I bought the blue sweater and it's gonna get some serious wear this winter. It compliments my eyes lol.
Lorelai's first Friday Night Dinner look
I bought the dress several years ago and saw the sweater and had to buy it for the look! I also bought the shoes.
Lorelai Work Look
I don't have many patterned button blouses. LG wears turquoise throughout the season and this was as close as I had. I couldn't find anything comparable that I wanted to buy. I did purchase the pencil skirt.
Rory's 16th Birthday Look
I bought the skirt years ago and had to find an orange sweater to pair it with for the project. I think it's a more grown up version.
Lorelai's Look for Rory's Birthday
Can we talk about how undesirable graphic tees are these days! I wanted a shirt like LG's but I settled for plains leopard. I was going for her look at Rory's birthday, but it also works for the episode when Rory gets a D on her paper.
Rory's Argyle Sweater
I have had this sweater since Cora was a baby. The jacket I got from beginagainapparel.com and I got the jeans from Goodwill.
The Casual Rory Look
This is just Rory hanging around Stars Hollow. She wears the hoodie in episode 2. I got the hoodie from thredup, the jeans are from Goodwill several years ago, and the tee underneath is from Walmart. It's a comfy look but it's probably not something I'll wear again.
In conclusion, I know way too much about Gilmore Girls and I love it!
xx all the time
