The Gilmore Girls Project: Season 2

 Alright, I kicked off the Gilmore Girls Project Season 2 yesterday. Today I'm showing you a side by side of the character in the inspired outfit. I chose a Lorelai look from episode 15. It's the opening outfit when they are talking about her cleaning out the gutters and almost falling off the roof. The outfit runs through a whole day and the beginning portion of the episode. She talks to Luke in the Diner at night in the same outfit and utters one of my fave lines from the show, "You don't need to organize. You need to move." It makes me think of our time living in our rv while we were preparing the property to move and I laugh every time.

I went with the same color combo just in a different order. I don't own any tees that are as kitschy as LG, but I kinda wish I did! 

I told instagram that I've had the puffer coat since before Cora was born, the tee is from the Blue Bell creamery and the color was perfect for recreating the outfit palette, the pink jacket is from thredup and it's softness can't be matched even after washing and drying, and my jeans are hand me downs. 

Here are a couple of options I found on a google search for cat tees. I'd wear both of them. The top was on amazon the bottom is from Etsy. Both jackets are on amazon. It's excruciating to search for specific thrifted items. I rarely find a perfect recreation. I could probably find Lorelai's cat shirt in the little girls department at Walmart or Carters haha!
