Season one of The Gilmore Girls Project: Part 2

Rory’s style was really mild during season one. Lorelai liked to wear lots of red, including red pants which are just not my style. I enjoy her casual looks and relate to them. As a mom chasing a toddler, comfort is key and the ability to bend down without exposing my self is necessary.

All the pieces bought for the loo, look, are from Thredup unless I specify otherwise. I gotta lot of Goodwill finds too and some local thrift stores. I'm excited to explore more resellers though!

Lorelai on movie night look

I bought the blue plaid shirt because it was so similar to this look. Who doesn't love a plaid button up!

Lorelai at work look

I've had this sweater for a while and it was not a thrift. I got it during a bogo sale at JC Penney. I remember buying it for a Christmas outfit several years ago. I wore jeans instead of dress pants to because my post baby thighs wouldn't allow it!

Kitschy Lorelai look

My mom bought me this shirt when Cora was a baby and isn't it just too perfect! I couldn't pass up this outfit match.

Lorelai Stars Hollow casual look

I would have looked for a turtleneck but I already had this pink sweater. The jacket is from beginagainapparel.com I was thrilled when I found it because Gap has these jackets for so much! I do love the cordouroy sherpa jackets out right now, but let's be real, I had one in middle school and I'm not looking to relive those days.

Rory Friday night dinner dress

Rory wears a lot of separates for fnd, but when she wears a dress it's usually simple and a neutral color. I bought the dress because it was good to wear in the summer to church and it works so well for this RG look.

Rory pilot episode when she meets Dean

This is one of my least favorite looks I chose. I had the things so I went for it. I bought the skirt cause it was so in style a couple of years ago but I never wore it. The length is odd for my short legs and it never made me feel very cute. The shirt is a four dollar holla from Walmar. I bought several colors to wear with a blazer and slacks when I had an office job.

Rory casual sweater look

The girls wear sweaters, cause Connecticut. I'm in Texas so I only have a few cozy sweaters. I got this one from beginagainapparel because it just looked like Rory. I absolutely love it. My jeans came from a local secondhand store.

Lorelai's a thousand yellow daisies look

I adore wrap dresses. They make me feel grown up and they are versatile. I found this dress and instantly thought of this scene. Nailed it!

Yes I'm obsessed with Gilmore Girls and I wont apologize!

I didn’t indulge in any of the girls’ fancy dresses , because I was determined to stay true to my message of buying secondhand and I want to be able to wear the clothes I buy. If I saw a style to replicate but knew I wouldn’t wear it again, then I chose another outfit.

xx all the time

Its a fun way to look at your clothes differently! I really got into shorts (which I've never liked on me) when I had kids so I didn't flash everyone at the park!
