Just to document

Coco has been on seizure meds for probably 4 months now. We've increased his dosage once a month and still he has seizures. He's no longer having cluster seizures, multiple seizures in a row, but they're very intense. He screams through the whole thing. Last night, May 7, coco had another seizure. The last increase was April 26; that's two weeks in between. Unacceptable. We'll see what the vet says and go from there.

Feeling crafty

I always feel crafty on Friday nights. I just want to make things. Ryan goes to work and I'm left to fill the time. So, I scoured my diy board on pinterest to find something to make. I decided to make the work out shirt:

They're made from two t-shirts that were too big and from youth group

I crocheted some bracelets from leftover material

I finally covered the headband holder I found on pinterest (it's an oatmeal container)

I started to crochet some headbands, but I'm going to try again, because It wasn't the right shape. I'll try again and post it. I feel better checking things off the list.

It's not delivery

and it's not DiGiorno. It's homemade. I've been using the meat that I got from a friend's dad and we had some hamburger meat. I always use hamburger meat to make burgers or tacos. So, I decided this week to do something different. I was going to make calzones with a recipe from a cookbook I got as a wedding gift and when I started making dinner tonight Ryan said to make them pizzas. And I did. We had homemade pizza with hamburger on it. I'm not typically a fan of hamburger or sausage on my pizza, but I figured we had it, so why not.

I found a pizza crust recipe on pinterest and just went for it. The pizza crust was just as easy as the homemade buns I made last week. I didn't calculate how much dough there would be, so I have a lot leftover. I think it would have made four pizzas (small pizzas). I brushed the dough with olive oil and parsley. I used tomato sauce seasoned with some Italian herbs and garlic and put the hamburger on top. I sprinkled the pizzas with mozzarella and I topped it off with onions and bellpeppers.

(They're real small pizzas. Two fit on one cutting board, but one pizza fed both Ryan and I)

YUM! I highly recommend this recipe for pizza crust. I think I let them cook about three minutes too long. But they were still delicious and crispy, just how I like my pizza. I also like that I could put as much sauce as I wanted. I think pizza places use too much sauce and they're always to sugary for my taste. I'm so proud of my little pizzas.

On the up and up

Ryan and I have visited four or five, I can't even keep count, churches in search of the one that suits us while we live on this side of Houston. The latest church is in the Memorial area. A big church with a good pastor and a lively congregation. Definitely the most liked church so far. I was really excited about it and Ryan was excited, but we weren't over the top. However, I feel like it's a winner. Just two more churches and we'll probably make a decision.

Since we enjoyed the pastor, we'll check out the other two and see how those go. If we enjoy them as well we will go to a Sunday school class and decide which church will be the winner.

Feeling much better about this church searching business.
