I like cooking for myself in college, because I can have chicken nuggets, zucchini, and mandarin oranges. However, I do not think my husband will want to eat chicken nuggets as often as I do. I need to stock up on some good recipes.

Job Hunt

I'm applying for a lot of early childhood education positions, because it's my passion if you will. I am currently applying to a Christian Academy in Bryan, because I can teach at private school with my degree alone and no certificate. This job is pretty much ideal. I'm a little overwhelmed by the lack of options and would appreciate some serious prayer for my situation.

I'm waiting on the Lord to show me what I'm supposed to be doing.

Weekend Adventure

Ryan and I went camping at Meridian State Park this weekend. It was a ton of fun. We went hiking and played some frisbee. He also taught me how to play David Crowder's How He Loves, sort of. On Saturday afternoon we hiked about 8 miles, all the way around the park. We had to bring Coco along and I think he enjoyed it. We saw beautiful landscape and a super cool creek. Now for lots of pictures:
At the campsite

Our Hiking Adventures

The end of our hiking adventure
Coco was exhausted. Isn't he funny.

And on our drive home we saw a ZEBRA!
He was just hanging out with some cows in a field.
All in all, a good weekend with fun adventures.

7 Things I like About...Me

I would first like to thank....j/k. Thanks Emily for my sunshine award. I could use a little sunshine on this dreary, crazy day. Much better. This seven things idea is from her as well.

7 Things About Me:
1. I have anxiety issues along with heart palpitations, but I usually just pray through it and my Father calms    my heart. This is why I don't do good with waiting
2. I have taken to the Twilight series. Call me lame, but I just can't put the books down, or stop watching Rob Pattinson. It seems he looks better with each viewing.
3. I am completely terrified of life after college. I am confident in God's faithfulness as I have said a thousand times, but a girl can still be scared.
4. I failed at reading "For Whom The Bell Tolls". The one book in my American Lit. class that I have not read. I had to read sparknotes for it and I've never done that before, because I love to read.
5. Both of my brothers have now been to alternative school. Justin his senior year and Austin this year, his freshman year.
6. I watch two television series': Greek on ABCFamily and Grey's Anatomy on ABC, of course.
7. I have been in a long distance relationship for five out of six years with Ryan Martinez and we are getting married in July!! I cannot wait to finally say goodnight and not have to leave. Bliss

Today was the first day of the Bear Faire! I bought my cap and gown and my tassel, it's gold. I like the pop of color for sure. I'm also going to buy a green stole that says Baylor University on it, so I can look like everyone else. I can't believe, but finally after five crazy years I'm DONE. The excitement got to me today and I jumped for joy, literally.
Ryan and I's application for our duplex was approved yesterday! Yay, we have a place to live. Now money to pay for it is another story. God will provide, I'm confident, despite all my doubts it will work how God sees fit. That truly pleases my heart.
BTW: weddings cost too much money...

I'm definitely an emotional wreck right now. I've been stressed out and over-thinking things, so I've been crying a lot. I was channel surfing and stopped on "16 and Pregnant" the couple on this particular episode are Tyler and Catelynn. They're giving their baby up for adoption and, oh man, I cried so much! Now I have a headache.

Wednesday Worries

So, I just want to say that I really don't like my roommate. The one is the complete opposite of me and hearing her phone conversations disturbs me. The other one I like as a great friend, but she is soo dirty it drives me freaking crazy. I cannot wait to graduate and get married, because I know Ryan is clean and someone who's phone conversations are not disturbing.
I am terrified to get married. I have discovered of course that my faith in God will not waver, however, my process for dealing with the waiting period of God's perfect timing is to:
     -freak out
     -break down
and when that's all over with I know that only one thing remains and that's God's faithfulness in caring for his creation. The process is not always short, and is sometimes painful, but here I wait.

Spring Break Recap

My spring break = total suck. I guess I put too much pressure on the last one, and it chickened out. It's okay though, only 7 weeks until graduation. I will walk you through the highlights in more detail.

Thursday (before spring break)
Kenny Chesney at the Rodeo! good day. drove back to Waco that night, got home around 3, was awake for 22 hours. Intense, but worth it.
Went to class and drove to Oak Island.
Hung out at the house and met up with Amanda and Kelly and Jessica and Matt and their cousin Adrea. We went to Galveston for dinner at "The Spot". It was fun, but the ferry ride either way was at least an hour and a half. Painful waiting, but good talks with Jessica. I really miss them. Oh yea! Before I went to the beach I went to Guitar Center in Beaumont with my dad to buy Ryan a guitar for his wedding gift! It's a Taylor electric acoustic. That's about all I know!
I finally made it to the beach--at sunset.
I tried to sleep in, but my dad watches t.v. pretty loudly in the mornings, so I woke up. That night I went with Rayn, well I kind of forced him, my little brother and his friend to the Rodeo to see the Jonas Brothers! It was a ton of fun! Fo sho! haha
Playing my favorite song at the end!
He enjoyed it "a little bit"!
Austin and Shay at the Jo Bros, Shay looks terrified!
I wake up and my mom calls from work. She says I have to go pick Austin, my younger brother, up from school, because he's been suspended for three days. Say what? He got caught the previous Friday with a video camera and after much fighting he was sent to alternative school for 30 days. I did a ton of research for him and my parents to possibly keep him out of alternative school, but to no avail the public school system fails again! I want to change the entire system for the state of Texas, maybe one day I will be able to.
My mom and I went to the reception site to nail down some details. It was kind of a waste of time, but I finalized the menu and was able to take pictures to know what to decorate and etc. We also talked to someone about linens: $700 I think not. The linens will be provided by the reception site, champagne.
Had lunch with Ryan's sister Tara at Carino's. Met with Phyllis, the soon to be mother-in-law about wedding stuff. She's sooooo difficult and specifically asked if her name would be on the invitation. The nerve! Is she paying? NO. Then I hung out with Amanda for the rest of the day before she left for Virginia. It was nice.
Pretty low key. Hung out with my dad. I got my passport filed for Cozumel! We went to lunch, to get his truck fixed (forever long), and to Conn's to buy a new washer for my mom because hers stopped working. I forgot to watch Grey's, pretty lame, but I caught it online don't fret.
I wore my new swimsuit all day under my clothes in hopes of going to the beach, but instead I filled out applications and wrote cover letters and perfected my resume. I also had to pack all of my stuff to head out on Saturday.
Left my spring break in the dust to go house hunting with Ryan. I'm sure I'll update you at the end of the week on this matter. We went to our spot on campus where he proposed and had some Jamba Juice while we discussed the places we'd looked at. Then I convinced him to come to Waco that night and hang out with me. He left on Sunday and here I am on Tuesday, tired and ready for the weekend!
Whew! That was a lot, sorry! Lots going on, but not fun stuff.

Promises, Promises

I will post spring break highlights when I find the appropriate amount of time. It was an eventful week, but total suck-o. Sad to say, but I'll live.
Sneak Peeks:
Austin got suspended and alternative school
Saw the Jonas Brothers at the Rodeo (you think lame, I think not!)
Got the rest of the b-maid dresses
Saw Ryan zero out of six days
     Got a haircut
I asked her to curl it, much fun.

In Swing..

Spring Break is in full swing! I've been to the Rodeo twice and had so much fun. I've been to the beach and have seen some friends and the rest of the week is looking good. I will upload photos soon. I have a few complaints, but for now I will simply brood over them until I find the right words. I don't like being on the computer on vacation...

Spring Break

Spring Break will prove really relaxing for me. I will start the week on Thursday by going to see Kenny Chesney with the family at the Rodeo! Sunday my mom was able to get us tickets to the Jonas Brothers at the rodeo. I know what you're thinking, but it will still be fun to be there! I'm making Ryan go, it will be great. I get to see Amanda and Jessica and Jessica's boyfriend Matt on Saturday at the beach! Super stoked about that. My mom and I are going to Bridgewater, where the reception will be, to hash out the last of the details. I plan on choosing a bakery for the cake and reading "For Whom The Bell Tolls" and possibly some of the "Twilight" series. Don't judge me! I can't wait for my last Spring Break as a college student, bring it!
